This week’s Travelling Story features Emily, where she explains why the UK is her top holiday destination and highlights why you should consider glamping in the the UK.
What is your favourite country and why?
The UK, just because there are so many amazing places that are on our doorstep, and I have had some of my most memorable holidays while glamping in the UK. My favourite is probably a long weekend we had in Warwickshire.
What was the main highlight of the trip?
We stayed in a yurt and the highlight was the simplicity of our break, a complete switch off from the outside world
Where did you stay and would you recommend it?
Hill Farm Glamping and would highly recommend.
What was your favourite restaurant?
We didn’t go out, but used the local farm shop to buy our dinner and cooked it in the communal kitchen.
Describe how travelling makes you feel in 3 words?
Liberated, adventurous and happy
What excites you about travelling and where do you want to travel to next?
Exploring and discovering new places – the chance to make memories. There is so much more of the UK to see and I can’t wait for our next trip.
SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL
Would you consider yourself a responsible traveller?
Yes, we try to be and have certainly been more conscious of how we travel over the last year or so.
How are you hoping to travel more sustainably?
The way we travel, the places that we stay and the places that we eat at. I think we would be far more conscious of the sustainability of products and places when we book anywhere now. We also want to find more amazing places to go glamping in the UK.
